Busting Excuses: Why You Deserve a Boudoir Experience.
When we get nervous, we hesitate and make excuses. We make excuses not not love or care for ourselves. Life gets busy, work is hectic, family pulls you into multiple directions and you don’t spend enough time with friends. We also use excuses like “I wanna lose 15 lbs first!” and “I just don’t have the money right now!”.
I wanted to write this to show you all that no matter the excuse, you CAN do it! Let me show you that no matter the excuse, you are worthy of self love!
“There is no time left for me”
You can’t pour into others, if your cup isn’t already filled. You have to fill up your cup so you can help serve others. I don’t always set a great example in this area but I know I need mental health breaks. Sometimes I am the WORST at making sure I am giving myself mental health breaks and that’s why I think it’s so important to share this with you all. I make the same excuses as above and sometimes I need someone to look me in the face and say, “SLOW DOWN, give yourself a break, breath for a minute!”.
During a boudoir session you can take a deep breath and give yourself some love. We use up so much energy every day comparing ourselves to others. What if we stopped worry about that? We could get back so much wasted energy in our lives. This session is where you get to see yourself in a new light and lifts the weight you carry around thinking about what others think.
You deserve to make time for yourself. Why not do it during boudoir session while you get pampered and let your body free of the stigmas. You got this!
“I still haven’t reached my goal weight.”
I admit it is good to be healthy. But are we striving towards unrealistic goals? Did you know that only 5% of women naturally posses the bodies portrayed in most of the media. FIVE PERFECT! Crazy.
You can love your body now. You don’t need to wait until it is a certain size in order to love and appreciate your body today. Why do you need to fit into someone else’s mold of what is “acceptable” body image. You were uniquely made and deserve to celebrate the body you have today.
I have goals to get healthy and assure that I take good care of my body. That is not wrong. But that doesn’t mean I can’t love my body right now. You can love your body at every step along this journey. In fact, I have women who book sessions at the beginning of the self love journey and then another boudoir session once they have achieved some of their goals. Celebrate you whenever you want.
“I’m don’t feel sexy or sensual anymore so I wouldn’t be able to do a boudoir session.”
NOPE. All the nopes.
Rewind. Let me reverse that on you. This is actually one of the biggest TO DO assure you have beautiful boudoir photos.
When life gets busy, it is very easy to lose touch with our femininity or sexuality. I’m right there with you, that has been me over the years. You are in good company, that is totally normal and it is okay. Creating boudoir photos is a fabulous way to get in touch with our feminine side again. Let our bodies free and get out of our comfort zone, to then feel comfortable in our own bodies again.
I always tell clients that while most women think of a boudoir session with lingerie, it doesn’t have to be. You can wear anything that makes you feel amazing, powerful and sexy. It can range from a glitz and glam dress to ripped jeans and a leather jacket. Or maybe nothing at all… whatever makes you feel beautiful.
“A boudoir session is an investment and I don’t have all the money right now.”
Yes you are correct, a boudoir shoot IS an investment. More importantly, it is an investment in you. You are investing in your confidence, self-love and empowerment as well! We do offer payment plans! In order to book your session, there is a commission fee. Nothing else is due until you see your final portrait gallery and after that we can set up your payment plan for you to make it easy for you to enjoy your favorite boudoir photos.
