Family Photos Gone Right! How your Baltimore Family Photographer takes it all in stride.
As a family photographer, I take my time to help each of my families prepare and get ready for their sessions. This involves helping with clothing choices, selecting a location around Baltimore and getting to know their family so I can customize the session for them.
But… what happens when someone in the family decides that this is not for them. As a family photographer I have seen many families of all sizes, ages and backgrounds – I’ve seen it all or at least a lot! I’m not frazzled when….
- someone decides they are done with the session (after only 10 minutes)
- a toddler is scared of my big black box
- dad wants to hurry so he doesn’t miss the game
- mom is nervous that her kids will behave
- kids get shy and awkward
I was excited when I met this family at a local charity event and we talked about her twin daughters. The sisters are best friends and similar in many ways, but so different in lots of ways too. One sister got a little shy and gave me signs she would be done soon, but after a few minutes of me just hanging out with them, playing games and simply enjoying one another – we had so many great images from their session!
How cute is this sweet family! I love that puppy is getting some snuggles too.
These sweet sisters are so close! They are so much the same and yet have their own very different personalities.
Just after I thought the session was done, we played together and got this beautiful photo! Love it!
I never want to forget mom and dad at the session – it is rare that the parents have a beautiful photo of themselves. Parents still so in love makes my heart sing!
Finally, a photo session is never complete unless everyone has a GREAT time! I love being able to get mom and dad in on the action too!
