Video Recording Tips:

Move slowly from one variation to the other
Pause for a 1-2 seconds between variations
Screen shot all your favorite variations from the video

Sit on the edge of a bed or couch
Arch back
Point toes + separate legs like scissors
Phone (camera) is to the side of you
One hand along your body

Face a mirror (get view of front + back)
Straddle a pillow (or not)

what is boudoir?

We’re so glad you are here – you are right where you need to be. There are many misconceptions about boudoir photography but this is what we believe about it:

Boudoir is for every woman. Period.
You are more than a set of numbers. Numbers such as your weight, age, cup size or waist do not define you.
No experience necessary, I got you.
When you take a leap of faith in yourself, you will be unstoppable.
You are beautiful right now, no excuses.

GOT QUESTIONS?

YES!! Everyone and I mean everyone is at least a little bit nervous before their session. Having photographed many women over the years – EVERYONE feels a bit nervous, scared or awkward.

I promise that once we get going and I show you the back of the camera, you will relax and get in the groove.

The good thing is you don’t have to! Yay! That is my job. I will pose you down to your fingertips. You just need to be able to play “Shayna Says…” (I learned the game from Simon). As long as you can follow directions we will be good to go.

Your hair and make-up artistry is included in a full session. Makeup only for a speciality session. The hair and makeup artist does this right at the studio just before your session. You can bring ideas with you to give them inspiration or you can sit down and give the artist full reign. This is all about you and how you want to look and feel, we all work with you to assure you love the final look

Only if you agree to it. I take your privacy very seriously. Nothing is shared unless you give use permission on the signed Model Release and you don’t decide until after you have seen your portraits. I have 3 levels to my Model Release so you can choose what suits you best.

This session is about you, not me. Of course I would always love to share your images as I want to encourage other women to see their beauty. But, only if you agree to it!

It depends on what you want. This is a session dedicated to embracing who you are and the vision that you want to portray in the portraits.

If you have a body, then you have a body for a boudoir session. Prior to the session we will talk about what you want to highlight about yourself so we will focus on those areas. In my years of posing and lighting hundreds of women, I am an expert in getting your best angles and showing off how YOU want to be seen.

Anything or nothing. Really! It is most popular to wear lingerie. But it is truly up to you. I’ll help you design what to wear based on your goals, desires and what will look best on you. You don’t have to wear all lingerie outfits, you can wear whatever makes you feel beautiful.

Wear a beautiful ballgown, a comfy sweater, your favorite lingerie or even your birthday suit – however you want to enjoy your session!

Our studio is located in Hunt Valley area of Maryland in Cockeysville. We are right on York Road so it is very easy to find and access from the highway. Our studio is located in the Diamond Exchange building so a very secure location since a jewelry business is in the building. 😉 Whether you are coming from Pennsylvania, Virginia, Delaware or Washington DC area, it is easy to get to our boudoir studio.
