This is a special post; it is actually a guest post from my client Mrs. S.  I was so happy when she agreed to write this and share her vision for the family session she enjoyed a few weeks ago.  I hope you enjoy reading her thoughts on the session and some of the final images. “Freezing Time, that is the super power I would like to choose for myself at this stage of my life. I find myself looking at my daughters Parker (age eight) and Sloane (soon to be five) and wanting to freeze time. To hold onto these precious moments with my family. The girls are now at an age where they are independent enough that we can enjoy lots of fun activities and travel together but they still really want to spend their time with Mom and Dad. They still think we are cool and walk on water. They haven’t lost that innocence yet. It is only a matter of time.

When I think of who the girls have grown into over the last couple of years, their unique personalities and how much they adore each other, I wanted Shayna to capture it. Parker is so open and full of energy. Sloane is the more cautious observer who can be shy, but with us she has so much spirit. Parker is so fun loving and is such a nurturing big sister. She loves to help care for Sloane, reassure her at times and making her laugh. Parker draws Sloane out and brings her spunky attitude to the surface. Seeing these photos for the first time was emotional for me because I could see the girl’s personalities shine through in the photos. I could see our families’ identity in them.

I have yet to figure out how to freeze time on my own but these photos helped me freeze time at this special time in my family’s life. Thank you, Shayna!”
