Fun Fact Friday – Baltimore Family Photographer
Baltimore Family Photographer… finally prints her own family’s photos!!
Fun Fact Friday is here… this time it is not a true fun fact, more of a little confession. As a Baltimore family photographer I hate to admit this but want to be real with you… I’m kind of bad about printing my own family photos. Unfortunately, “the cobbler’s children have no shoes” is a bit true in my own home. My kids have shoes, but I’m just as guilty as the rest in printing our family photos.
I take a lot of spur of the moment photos with my iPhone, but had never printed any – yikes! I do make sure they are saved on my computer and backed up to my hard drive both physical and in the cloud. My phone was full so I finally printed them and it was so fun!!
Simple Every Day Memories
I resolved to change in 2014… I printed a ton of pictures and rather than having it be perfectly hung in beautiful heirloom frames or canvas I got some wire, magnets and hooks! Glamours, I know. But it doesn’t have to be perfect. In reality, it was perfect for my little guys! They. Loved. It!!

When I received the box of all of these, I spread them out on the table and the boys loved getting their grimy hands all over them and reliving memories from the past year. Simple, everyday memories:
- first hair cut
- puddle hopping
- playing at the park
- diving up the driveway in daddy’s lap
- cuddling on the couch
- Quinn’s old preschool classroom
The pictures got bent, fingerprinted, a bit torn but they enjoyed it! Things heard from the table that night…
- “wow mom look, I remember those friends”
- “Gavin, your so cute there getting your hair cut”
- “I remember playing with our cousins in the creek”
- “hey, that was in our Chicago home. I liked that park.”
I do have a beautiful canvas gallery up in our living room and framed images around our home, but there is something about the simplicity of these everyday prints that warms my heart. In fact, Quinn was so excited he picked his favorites and put them up in his bedroom that night!
Little Tip: I made two copies, one for the boys to enjoy and one for me to put in our memory box and album.
I can help you create some beautiful family photos… and I would love to get to know you: connect with me – let’s chat.
